Cosmetic Surgery in Thailand: Getting Breast Implants

Author: Michael Category: News

Thursday
Nov 24, 2011

There are a lot of hospitals all over the world that offer breast implants or cosmetic surgery in general. In the United States alone, there are 7,000 plus plastic surgeons registered in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), not counting general practitioners. However, despite the huge number of plastic surgeons in the US, a lot of people still go to other countries to undergo breast implant surgery. The main reason for this is the fact that they can get the same cosmetic surgery in Thailand hospitals for the best quality surgery, but at a cheaper price. Depending on the cosmetic surgery to be done, you can actually save more than 70% compared to your expenses if you’ll have your surgery done back home.

Thailand gives numerous options

Cosmetic Surgery in Thailand is not limited to just one hospital and you have the liberty to choose from a number of hospitals in the country. There’s the Bangkok plastic surgery in Yahee and PAI, Bandon Hospital in Samui and Cosmetic Surgery Phuket Thailand Hospital. When getting a cosmetic surgery in Thailand, prices differ, which range from $2,910 to $8,475. All of these hospitals, however only require you to stay as an in-patient for one night, since it’s only a light procedure. If you’re going to have your plastic surgery in Thailand during the holidays, make sure to check for Thailand plastic surgery packages to get a chance at discounts.

Who’s entitled to have breast implants?

Frankly speaking, anyone who wants larger breasts, but who can’t afford surgery done in their own country will find cosmetic surgery in Thailand an ideal option. One of the topmost requirements for breast implants is for the patient to be at least 19 years old. This is to make sure that the breasts have reached their final size and would no longer grow. However, exceptions do apply to patients who have breast asymmetry, or breast hyperplasia. In these cases breast implants are required to correct these at an early age.

Implant placements

Aside from the different hospitals that could do the procedure, there are also different areas where the breast implant can be placed. This includes insertion in the lower fold of the breast, incision through the areola and an incision through the armpits. The insertion in the lower fold is the most common procedure, because it’s easier to hide or make the scar go unnoticed.

The incision through the areola gives the best results since it goes through the breast tissue. However, this also opens the person to risks of infection and loss of sensation in that area. The third one is having the incision through the armpits, which many patients prefer, because the scars would most likely be hidden unless you raise your arms up. You don’t run the risk of infection with this one. However, there is a risk of further asymmetry if the surgeon is not careful. Surgeons who are experts at cosmetic surgery in Thailand will make sure to discuss every detail of the procedure to you for you to be able to make the right decision for your breast implants.

Author: canto Category: Best Health Care, Cooking & Recipes, Diet & Fitness, healthy dish, Wellness

Monday
May 23, 2011

Budgeted eating healthy can be summarized to two basic tips as mentioned by Eat. Drink. Better.

Read the Box: Knowing what stuff you eat can be an enlightening experience. You need to research on what they all do first though as some terms can be almost gobbledegook: nitrate, sodium benzoate, saccharin, butylated hydroxytoluene, etc . Once you’re even slightly familiar at what they do and how they benefit the body, you need to decide on what to buy and eat.

Buy organic on a budget: buy organic vegetables and fruits as much as possible. There are however better bought organic than others: celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, cherries, kale/collard greens, potatoes, and imported grapes.

May 13, 2011

With drug resisting bacteria like MRSA on the rise, more and more people must be wary of it.

The culprit according to Dr. Daniel Uslan, assistant clinical professor of infectious diseases, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is bad personal hygiene and overuse of antibiotics.

Below are a few tips to avoid superbugs:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • If you are seeing your doctor for a bad cold or flu, discuss the use of antibiotics with your physician.
  • If your doctor determines that you do not have a bacterial infection, do not pressure your doctor to prescribe antibiotics.
  • Take antibiotics exactly as prescribed by your physician, even if you feel better.
  • Do not save leftover antibiotics for the next time you become sick.
  • Do not take antibiotics prescribed for someone else.
  • In the hospital, ask if health care workers have washed or sanitized their hands before working with a patient.
  • Take special care to keep clean and cover and protect scrapes and cuts when in a high risk environment

Workout Tips

Becoming fit and staying fit are two very different things. Most people go on diets and work outs, get leaner, then regain it all (plus a bit more) a couple of months later.

The main culprit seen here is: inconsistency. Some dieters (like me) get on it full force then suddenly get lazy and all the weight comes back in.

How does one maintain being fit? Here are a couple of workout tips coming from the Today Show on how to do it:

  • Adopt a three-day standard: get in at least 3 days of hard workouts a week. If you think that’s a lot of drain on your time then…
  • Save one for the weekend: then that makes it finding a sked for two days in the weekdays easier.
  • Track the ancillary benefits: Put your achievements and records in a journal. It’ll be easier to maintain then just basing the success of your training on how much weight you’ve lost.

Top Pimple Treatment Dont’s

Author: canto Category: Health, Skin Conditions Tags: acne, pimples

May 11, 2011

Pimples or acne can be one of the worst things that can happen to a person’s skin.

Almost 50 million Americans are looking for ways to alleviate this condition through various ways–sometimes making it even worse.

Here are some things one shouldn’t do when they have acne:

  • Not trying an acne treatment long enough: the lotion or treatment given by a dermatologist doesn’t remove the pimple overnight or even a week. According to Barbara R. Reed, MD, a dermatology professor at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, it may take two to six weeks to even see any results.
  • Popping pimples: Pimples and dirty fingernails don’t mix.

“People tend to groom the lesions. They examine them very closely several times a day and start imagining that there is something they can stick in the lesion or extract from the lesion. So they pick and the lesion gets worse,” Reed says.

Best advice for people with acne: See a dermatologist and follow their recommendations to the letter.
